Resuming Studying After A Break

How can you start or resume preparations for the licensure exam after the Holiday Break?

1. Planning

- Get to know your schedule looking at each week individually and dedicate a time to do your exam prep. Time management is critical at this point as it will make or break your studying. By keeping up with your schedule, you avoid letting other things get in the way of your allotted time.

2. Prioritize

- Once you have a solid schedule, stick to it and make it a priority. Remember your goal is a passing score on the LPC exam, so studying should be your first priority. Be aware of what studying takes precedent over and what it doesn't. For instance, studying is more important than binge watching Netflix. You also don't want studying to hold you hostage so make time to be with friends and family.

3. Be Consistent

- If you commit to studying for 4-6 hours in a day stay consistent. Spread your time throughout the week, as this will keep your memory fresh and allow you to develop a routine for studying. The fresher your memory the better.

Remember to plan, prioritize, and be consistent as you move towards achieving your goal.
